If you have never visited during autumn you are in for a real treat, and 2021 is going to be an especially magical year. Keep reading to find out why.
1. Summer Heat is Gone
Whew! Summer is Florida is HOT! While fall can still bring warm temperatures and rain, it is a relief after the peak of summer heat of July and August. The average high for October is 85 degrees, November 78 degrees, and December 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Compare this to the summer highs of June 91 degrees, July 92 degrees, and August 91 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes it a great time for people who aren’t fans of the extreme heat, but still want to enjoy a warm vacation with afternoons at the pool.
2. 50th Anniversary Celebration
This year on October 1st, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Disney World. The celebration is so big that it can’t be contained to one day- and will instead be celebrated for the following 18 months! Disney has been decking out the parks in the celebratory Ear-idescent colors and will have exciting limited time offerings is all 4 theme parks.
One of the things I am most excited for is the new nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom, “Disney Enchantment”. Disney always goes all out on their nighttime shows, so I can only imagine how amazing the 50th anniversary themed show will be!
3. Special Treats
If you have been reading here a while, or follow me on Instagram, you know that I am obsessed with Disney Snacks. While I do love the classics, I am always excited to try new offerings, and fall never disappoints. Some of the offerings to put on your list for 2021 include frozen apple cider, pumpkin cupcakes with salted buttercream, and Mickey pumpkin crispy treats.
4. Fall Theming
When it comes to theming, Disney never disappoints. If you want to mix up your traditional family vacation photos, make sure to stop at Main Street to capture the fall decorations.
