Cheap Eats at Disney World
Eating at Disney World in 2021 has become EXPENSIVE! Don’t let the sicker shock scare you, because I am about to share my top picks for eating cheap at Disney World so that you can stay on budget during your next vacation.
Top Picks for Snacks when Eating Cheap at Disney World
Refillable Popcorn Bucket
No list of Cheap eats at Disney world could start without this amazing deal. This is hands down THE BEST value for a family at Disney World.
For $12.00 you get a refillable popcorn bucket, that not only makes a great souvenir, but allows you unlimited $2.00 refills. We always grab one at the beginning of our trip and refill it at least once each day. Popcorn stands can be found throughout the parks and also at Disney Springs, so always keep it handy!
Kakigori – Epcot
If you are in Epcot make sure to stop by the Japan Pavilion to try Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice). At $4.50 it is a great deal and it will be the cool treat you need to get you through hot Florida afternoons. You’ll find it at the Kabuki Café Kiosk near the entrance of the Japan Pavilion.
Carrot Cake Cookie – Hollywood Studios
Most people will be surprised to find out that this iconic Disney World treat is only $3.99, so you don’t have to bust the budget when you are craving a sweet treat at Hollywood Studios. You can find it at the Trolley Car Café which is also the park’s Starbucks location.
Beverages

Top Picks for Quick Service
Quick Service is just the preferred Disney Term for a Counter service restaurant. If you want to focus on eating cheap at Disney World, you will want to mainly focus on locations listed as “quick service”.
Chicken Guy – Disney Springs
If you have kids (or adults) who can never get enough chicken tenders, this is the place for you! With lots of options for under $10.00 and kids meals for under $5.00, your food budget will thank you! Don’t forget to pick your favorite of the 22 sauces they have on hand!
The Earl of Sandwich – Disney Springs
Often overlooked for newer dining locations, The Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs is still a delicious and affordable option for a quick lunch or dinner at Disney Springs.
The menu has a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, and wraps all priced between $6.00 and $9.00. You will also find an unbeatable deal on kids meals at only $4.29 each.
Boardwalk Bakery – Disney’s Boardwalk
At the Boardwalk resort you will find the Boardwalk Bakery, a great place to grab sandwiches, breakfast, or pastries. For around $10.00 you can get a quality bakery sandwich, and while you are there check out the bakery cases to pick up a treat for later.
If you are staying at any of the Epcot Area hotels make sure and put this on your list, it is just a quick walk away!
Top Picks for Table Service
If you are planning on eating cheap at Disney World, it can be tough to find affordable Table Service options. These are some of my favorites that are worth a look if you are trying to fit these types of meals into your budget.
Via Napoli – Epcot
Located in the Italy pavilion of Epcot’s World Showcase, you will find Via Napoli, serving authentic Neapolitan pizza. For the same price as a quick service meal, you can treat your family to a relaxed lunch or dinner at this casual table service location.
The price for a Large Pizza is around $25.00, while the giant sized Mezzo Metro pizza that feeds 5+ will run you around $40.00. Not only is it affordable, but the food is also delicious, making it one of the top recommendations I give to first timers at Disney.
The Plaza Restaurant – Magic Kingdom
Located at the end of Main Street, you will find a Magic Kingdom gem, The Plaza Restaurant. For just a few dollars more than a quick service meal, you can treat yourself to a meal at this park staple.
Often overlooked by first timers, veteran Disney fans know that this is the place for an affordable and delicious meal at the Magic Kingdom. The menu includes sandwiches, burgers, and meatloaf that will fuel you for your day at the park.
Sci-Fi Dine In – Hollywood Studios
If you are looking for full Disney experience at lower price point, then make sure to visit Sci-Fi Dine In. While you won’t find characters, you will find one of the best themed dining experiences on property, with entrees ranging from $16.00-$25.00.
The entire restaurant is dimly lit to create the sense of being in a drive in movie. The tables are set up as cars and all face forward to the screen which shows clips from old Sci-Fi movies.
*Just a warning, if you have little ones who are sensitive to being the dark, make sure and wait a few years before you visit this location. While the film clips aren’t what most would consider “scary” it will be quite dark and loud, so use your best judgement with your own children.
Bonus Tip for Eating Cheap at Disney World- Breakfast at your Resort
We normally eat our breakfasts either in our hotel room or on the go to save money, but there are times you just need a Mickey Waffle.
My tip to keep breakfast in budget is to check out the kids meal options at your resort. I have found that this is a great option for both kids and adults. Almost all resort quick service locations offer either Mickey waffles, eggs, or breakfast sandwich with apple slices, yogurt, and your choice of beverage for around $6.50. This helps our family of 5 occasionally treat ourselves to a restaurant breakfast without breaking the bank.
