It can be hard to find the best snack deals at Animal Kingdom in 2022. With so many options and price points how do you know you are getting the best bang for your buck? I’m going to take you through 5 of the best deals so that you can feed your family for less on your next visit to Animal Kingdom.

In 2022 stopping for a snack can put a big dent in your vacation budget. Some snacks like the beautifully themed caramel apples will set you back $10.99!

Most will fall somewhere between $6 and $10. What you want to look at is what are you getting for that price and if the snack is easily sharable. This will get you the best deal, especially when you have a family of five or more like we do.

Also if you see something for less than $6, you know you are getting one of the cheaper options.

Can’t You Just Bring Your Own Snacks to Animal Kingdom?

Yes you can! In fact I highly encourage that you do especially if you are going to have little ones or picky eaters. Not only will it save money but you know you will have something on demand that your family enjoys.

Some of my favorites to bring are:

dried fruit
jerky
granola bars (Make sure they don’t contain chocolate or other ingredients that will melt!)
gummy snacks
applesauce pouches

I especially encourage you to bring in your own refillable water bottle which will save you from purchasing expensive bottles and save time. If you forget to bring your water you can stop by a quick service location and ask for a free cup, but this will require lots of time waiting in line.

Sometimes however space will limit you- I personally don’t want to drag around enough food to feed our family for the entire day. Also part of the fun are the amazing snacks that will be surrounding you all day long!

Mickey Colossal Cinnamon Roll- Creature Comforts

At $7.49 this snack doesn’t come cheap, but it makes up in sharability. This giant mickey shaped iced cinnamon roll is definitely meant to be shared.

The cinnamon rolls also makes appearances at other locations throughout the park during breakfast- so check the posted menus on the morning of your visit.

Make sure to grab extra napkins!

Pongu Lumpia- Pongu Pongu

If you need to grab a snack while touring the beautiful Pandora section of Animal Kingdom you’ll want to stop by Pongu Pongu. The pongu lumpia is a delicious pineapple-cream cheese filled spring roll.

At the price point of $3.79 it is one of the cheapest snacks you will find and also one of the most unique.

Bug Shaped Graham Crackers- Assorted Quick Service Locations

This snack is cheapest you will find at $1.99. This is actually a kids meal side dish that is served throughout the park but you can order it individually as a side/snack.

Since it is sold at a quick service location you can place a mobile order then pick up a bag for each kid and enjoy it at a cool, dry indoor location. Make sure to ask for a cup of ice water (free) to complete your snack break.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese-Eight Spoon Café

A delicious bowl of mac and cheese for only $4.49? You can find it at Eight Spoon Café on Discovery Island.

Now this savory snack won’t be a meal replacement for most adults, but it will be a great filling snack for under $5. It’s also a great way to fill up kids if they need more than just a basic snack to get them through an active afternoon touring Animal Kingdom.

Refillable Popcorn Bucket- Various Stands

So if you have read any of the other posts in this series you will know that my absolute favorite snack deal in all of Walt Disney World is the refillable popcorn bucket. One of my favorite things to do at Animal Kingdom is to grab a refill, find a shady spot, and enjoy the beautiful ambiance which is Animal Kingdom.

The current price is $13. It has gone up over the last couple of years but it is still a great deal.

After purchasing you can return to ANY popcorn cart and receive a refill for only $2.50. You can do this as many times as you like for the entire length of your stay. Even better you can get it filled at any of the four parks and Disney Springs.

The buckets make great souvenirs and change seasonally. This means that you can start collecting and bring some of the fun home for your next at home Disney movie night.

Make sure to purchase one on your first day to get the most value possible.

*Pro tip: Get a refill right before leaving the park for a cheap late night snack in your resort room.
